The Ferrari 575 Superamerica was the limited edition and open-top variant of the 575 Maranello, with just 559 examples made in an extremely short production run. Learning from the deficiencies of the previous 550 Barchetta, the 575 SA was equipped with a Revochromico rotating hardtop built using a carbon fibre frame that was integrated with electrochromatic glass. This increased functionality ensured that all Superamericas were accounted for within weeks of its announcement.
The car that we are fortunate to bring to market is a 2005 example that was supplied new in November of that year via Autoropa, Sweden. The car is finished in quite possibly the strongest combination of Nero Daytona over Nero leather that is completement by Daytona Seats with Giallo stitching and further detailing such as Cavallino Shields, Giallo Brake Callipers and Giallo Rev Counter.
More notably, this 575 SA with F1 transmission is specified with the highly desirable HGTC handing package, which was a £15,000 that could be added from the factory. This added features such as carbon ceramic brakes and suspension revisions to the vehicle to enhance the driving experience. Further, this example also benefits from extensive interior carbon fibre, including the steering wheel, dash trim, central trims and on the doors.
Low-production and open-top 12-cylinder Ferraris have always been some of the most desirable vehicles ever made, with Superamericas becoming more collectable as each year passes. We have extensively prepared this example to make it one of the most appealing available today; one that is finished in the strongest colour combination with the most desirable specification and would be the perfect addition to the very finest of Ferrari collections.
