Furlonger have recently acquired this spectacular Italian supplied Ferrari Enzo, wearing the ultimate specification of Rosso Corsa over Nero leather interior. Ordered new via Ferrari’s main dealer in Rome, the Enzo’s first owner felt that the only real way to collect a car named after the Marques founder was from its home in Modena.
The first owner used the Enzo sparingly, covering a few hundred kilometres each year until it was sold to its second owner whom resided in Japan. After being cared for by the Japanese main dealer Rosso Scuderia, by 2013 the car had covered a mere 5,175 kilometres in total as shown within the Enzo’s service book.
In 2015, a long standing Furlonger client purchased the car from the collection in Japan and had the car inspected at Maranello here in the UK. After the car was thoroughly checked over and given a clean bill of health, the current owner used her sparingly over the last 5 years, covering just under 1,000 kilometres in total. Furlonger workshops have maintained the car to the highest standards for the last 5 years, with the most recent service sparing no expense. The Enzo has just received a new clutch, flywheel and new tyres all round to replace the originals that were with the car from new. Furlonger have also carried out the all important mileage checks on this car and can confirm it is genuine.
Being an early car, the Enzo still features its untouched original weave, visible from the nose down to the wings. Its bodywork is excellent throughout, with perfect gaps between every panel and absolutely no signs of corrosion nor misuse or negligence. This example has to be seen physically to be appreciated, as it is likely one of the few that has been cherished from the moment it was first delivered.
The Enzo comes complete with all of its original handbooks, service book, spare key, key code card, Maglite torch, leather handbook and Classiche Certification. Also present are numerous service invoices, MOT’s, battery charger, original car cover and factory luggage.
A truly remarkable car which has been conscientiously driven, beautifully preserved and meticulously maintained.
First announced at the Paris motor show in 2002, the Enzo was launched to commemorate Ferrari’s first Formula 1 win of the new millennium and named after the company’s founder, Enzo Ferrari. Like all of the other ‘F’ cars which had limited production, the Enzo was purchased by invitation only to specific customers. Just 399 cars were produced and built between 2002 and 2004. This was the first ever super car to feature such a unique and detectable design and is still labelled today as one of the most famous Ferrari’s ever built. Ken Okuyama, the Japanese former head designer from Pininfarina was the individual behind the design of the Enzo along with some of Ferrari’s older model range including the 456, 612, 599 GTB and the California. The Enzo’s design incorporated technology derived from Formula 1, including the F1 transmission, carbon fibre bodywork, carbon ceramic brakes and various aerodynamic applications including the finned rear diffuser. The Enzo also features an active aerodynamic rear wing which deploys differently depending on the cars speed. At high speeds the wing will be extended further to optimise downforce and provide the Enzo with improved stability.
At the heart of the Enzo is its 6.0L V12 engine which produces a whopping 651 Horsepower. Combined with a dry weight just shy of 1500kg, blisteringly quick transmission and a 0-60 time of just 3.1 seconds, the Enzo is best described as the pinnacle of performance within ‘modern classic’ supercars.
