Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale

The Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale is a car that requires no formal introduction, however, its development and backstory do warrant an explanation. Inspired by the 360 Challenge racecar, the Challenge Stradale serves as the lightweight track focused derivative of the 360 Modena.

The Challenge Stradale possesses some subtle cosmetic changes that differentiate it from the 360 Modena, but its mechanical, aerodynamic and weight saving enhancements are primarily responsible for making it a racecar for the road. Although power was only increased by 25hp the car weighed in at a whopping 110 kg less than that of the Modena, reducing time around Fiorano by a commendable 3.5 seconds. Weight reduction has been achieved with an array of carbon fibre which is noticeably prominent within the car’s interior, with racing bucket seats, door cards, centre console and instrument cluster. The car’s wing mirrors, engine bay panels and lexan engine window trims are also constructed of carbon fibre. The front and rear bumpers are constructed of fibreglass. Further standard equipment includes carbon ceramic brakes carried over from the Ferrari Enzo, permitting exceptional stopping power, and a six speed semi-automatic paddle operated F1 transmission capable of changing gear in just 150 milliseconds when in ‘Race’ mode.

This Italian supplied Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale was delivered new in November 2003 via Motor Modena and desirably optioned in Rosso Corsa with no stripe, over a Charcoal and Rosso stitched interior with racing harnesses. The car resided in Italy until 2015, being maintained by Ferrari main dealers and specialists before it was imported to the U.K. with 20,500 kms, and has subsequently been driven sparingly since. In May of 2022 the car was subjected to a major service with cambelt replacement via marque specialist DK Engineering.

This example is one of few that have endured a life solely on the road and have been conscientiously driven and correctly stored. This Challenge Stradale benefits from PPF applied to the entire car.
